This is a quick (and weird) pasta sidedish. It tastes like rotkraut with noodles in it. I thought it was just OK, but my husband liked it. On the up side, its low in fat and high in fiber.

2 cups macaroni - cooked
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
4 cups red cabbage - shredded
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tablespoons vinegar
1/2 teaspoon caraway seed
salt and pepper

Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet. Add cabbage; cook and stir over medium heat for 2 minutes. stir in brown sugar, vinegar and caraway seed. Cover and cook until crisp tender (about 5 minutes). Stir in macaroni. Heat until hot. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Can be served hot or cold.
