Kafta Mishwi is a Middle Eastern barbecued meat patty. Its delicious served with pita bread, some hummus, tomatoes and chopped lettuce.
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1/2 cup onion
1/2 cup parsley
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon pepper
In a food processor, process onion and parsley until finely ground. transfer to a medium bowl. Add meat, salt, cayenne, allspice, and pepper. Mix well. Take a small amount of the meat mixture and wrap around a skewer, pressing tightly and firmly. Repeat until finished with all the meat.
Prepare grill, cook over coals until well done (about 15 minutes).
