I've seen quite a few lowfat versions of this popular dessert. Like most of them, this one is a "plan ahead". You have to wait hours for the yogurt to drain and for the dessert itself to meld together. The advantages to this one is that its just for two (perfect for us) and the taste (in relation to calories)! If you don't have any coffee liqueur, some strong espresso will do.

8 ounces nonfat coffee yogurt
1/4 cup nonfat cottage cheese
1/4 cup Neufchatel cheese - softened
1/3 cup confectioner's sugar - sifted
1 1/2 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons coffee liqueur
4 ladyfinger cookies - split
1 teaspoon semisweet chocolate - grated

Strain yogurt through yogurt strainer, or line colander or sieve with a double thickness of cheesecloth or coffee filter. Place colander in large bowl or place sieve over bowl. Spoon yogurt into colander or sieve to drain. Cover and refrigerate yogurt cheese, at least 4 hours.

Spoon drained yogurt into a small bowl; discard liquid. Place cottage cheese, Neufchatel cheese, and confectioner's sugar in a food processor. Process until smooth. Add cottage cheese mixture to yogurt; stir together.

Line a small loaf pan with foil.

Combine water and coffee liqueur. Brush half of the ladyfinger halves with liqueur mixture; lay, cut side down, in the bottom of the loaf pan. Spread half of yogurt mixture over ladyfingers. Repeat layers with remaining ladyfingers, liqueur mixture, and yogurt mixture. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and chill for at least 8 hours. To serve, carefully lift foil out of pan. Transfer to serving platter. garnish with grated chocolate.
