I got this recipe from Sunset magazine. Its a real easy and quick way to have fresh, low fat bread. Its great for breakfast with some butter and honey. Unfortunately, I don't think it tastes too good cold.

2 1/4 cups flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
12 ounces beer

In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add beer; mix until evenly moistened. Spread batter to make level in an oiled 4 1/2 by 8 1/2 inch loaf pan.

Bake in a 400 degree oven until loaf is browned and just begins to pull from pan sides, about 45 minutes. Invert onto a rack and allow to cool slightly.
